THE NATURIST LEGACY FILES
A Happy Anniversary! (2011)
I write these reflections after spending Saturday at Naturist Legacy Park.It was one year ago today — on October 1, 2010 — that Naturist Legacy Inc. took possession of our new property. Those who were there that day will recall that it was an unseasonably mild and sunny day — just like today. Those who were there that day will also recall the friendly and hopeful camaraderie that was shared by us all — just like today!
What a long, long way we have come in just one short year! Twelve months ago we were faced with the utterly daunting task of building a nudist park completely from scratch.
And that's exactly what we have managed to do — together!
What was once nothing but bush is now a thriving community of active social nudists. Among so many other things accomplished this year...
Electricity was installed.
A new water well was drilled.
Sewage holding tanks were installed.
Roads were cleared from the bush near the main activity area.
Twenty seasonal campsites were cleared (all but one are now occupied).
Acres and acres of park land was cleared and groomed.
A telephone line was trenched all the way from the highway.
A pump house was built.
A washroom/shower building is nearing completion.
A deposit has been made on a new swimming pool to be installed this fall if the weather holds.
As president of Naturist Legacy, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to those of you who have helped to make all these achievements possible through your financial support and through your active volunteering. We could never have achieved so much in such a short time without your generous assistance.
When you visit Naturist Legacy's Web site (at REDACTED ADDRESS*) you'll find these words on the "About Us" page:
"Naturist Legacy exists today because of the sheer tenacity of a small and determined group of dedicated nudists unwilling to relinquish their cherished way of life. In the face of undeserved adversity, they devised a business model that has earned them a new home of their own and achieved a level of permanency for their naturism that was heretofore unknown."
And so it is!
